Actor Johnny Depp could have earned $22.5 million for the sixth part of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, his agent has said during a testimony.
Jack Whigham was speaking during the defamation trial of Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard when he made the statement.
The sixth movie of the franchise was scrapped by its studio Disney after Amber, in an op-ed published in Washington Post accused Depp of domestic violence.

Whigham was quoted by several reports as saying that the article was a catastrophe for the Hollywood career of Depp.
“After the op-ed it was impossible to get him a studio film,” said Whigham, who has been Depp’s agent since 2016
