Keanna Reeves arrested for cyberlibel, to pay P200,000 bail

Former actress and sexy comedienne Keanna Reeves was arrested earlier today, November 12, for cyber libel.

Reeves, whose real name is Janet Derecho Duterte, was arrested by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Laguna from her condo unit in Scout Ybardolaza, Quezon City after entrepreneur Nancy Dimaranan filed complaints against her.

Dimaranan filed cyber libel charges against Reeves after the latter threatened and cursed her online.

Reeves was taken to CIDG’s Regional Office in Laguna for documentation and proper disposition.

Dimaranan also posted videos on her Facebook account which show authorities arresting Reeves.

In the video, Reeves willingly went with the authorities and can be heard saying “Hi, I don’t care” as she entered the police car.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Reeves brushed off the arrest saying the complaint filed against her is bailable and that she can be released immediately.

“Wala yun, nagpapasikat lang yung kalaban. Bailable naman ang kaso at wala kasi kaming natanggap na resolution kaya nagulat ako. Pero piyansa lang naman ito, ‘tapos korte na kami. Fiscal pa kasi kami noon, ‘tapos ngayon korte na kami,” Reeves said.

Judge Maria Florencia Formes-Baculo of Laguna Regional Trial Court Branch 34 issued the actress’ arrest warrant and recommended a bail worth P200,000, reported GMA News.
