Sunshine Cruz gets emotional after court grants marriage annulment with Cesar Montano

Actress Sunshine Cruz admitted that she cried after hearing the news that the court finally granted the petition she filed for the annulment of her marriage with estranged husband Cesar Montano.

Cruz filed the said petition in 2014, a year after she and Montano separated due to the latter’s infidelity. They were married for for 12 years but decided to call their marriage off after Montano got linked to starlet Krista Miller.

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Cruz said that the announcement made her emotional adding that the court’s decision is a “good news” for her.

“Sobrang kaiyak. I was crying kanina. Grabe,” she said.

Cruz’s lawyer also congratulated his client by sending her a message which reads, “Good afternoon Miss Sunshine. Congratulations on your petition for annulment which was granted by the court.”

The 41-year-old actress also posted a photo on her Instagram thanking God for what happened.

“This day I will never forget… Thank you,” she captioned the photo with the hashtags #newbeginnings #newchapter #grateful.

After her separation with Montano, Cruz has been living with her three daughters Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angeline, and Angel Franchesca, and has settled in a relationship with non-showbiz businessman Macky Matthay.
