DUBAI: Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach said she is “beyond excited” to meet her Filipino fans in the UAE as she is set to fly here next week, which marks her second visit to Dubai.
She first visited Dubai in November 2016 to spread awareness on sexually transmitted diseases as a part of her advocacy. She also did not miss to catch a glimpse of some famous landmarks in the UAE.
This time, Al-Futtaim Watches & Jewellery, a part of the Al-Futtaim group of companies, known for retailing some of the most renowned watch brands in the world, will be hosting an exclusive meet-and-greet event with Pia, who is the brand ambassador of Philip Stein.
The event will be held at The Watch House, in Dubai Mall on March 14, between 7pm – to 8pm. She will be joined by Mr. Will Stein himself, co-founder of Philip Stein.
The Watch House said they want their customers, especially the overseas Filipinos in the UAE, to have a unique opportunity to meet Pia up close and personal when they purchase a Philip Stein watch.

1 Desert safari
On her first day in Dubai during her first visit here, Pia went on desert safari tour in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, donned in an all-black jumpsuit and hijab. She visited the place despite not having it in her itinerary. Upon seeing the actual view of the desert, Pia said she couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the Dubai that she used to see in photos only. “This is not a set. Dubai is literally just THAT beautiful!” she said in one of her Instagram posts.
2 Smörgåsbord of cuisines
Pia considers Dubai as one of her most favorite places that she travelled. She wrote in her Instagram that she wished here friends were there with her so they can go skydiving. In another post, she disclosed that she fell in love with Dubai, citing culture and the smörgåsbord of cuisines available in the country.
