Fitness for Real Life: How One Mother’s Routine Sparked a Dubai Fitness Movement

Every movement starts with a single step. For FitKada DXB, that step didn’t begin in a high-tech athletic laboratory or with an elite endurance coach—it started in the everyday routine of a full-time corporate finance professional who simply decided to show up for her health.

Today, FitKada DXB stands as one of Dubai’s most welcoming community-driven fitness groups. But behind its rapid growth is a story rooted in family, discipline, and the belief that fitness belongs to everyone, regardless of how busy life gets.

The Founder’s Journey — From Personal Habit to Shared Purpose

Veronica Sorio never set out to launch a fitness organization. By day, she operates in the fast-paced world of corporate finance, navigating the demands of accounting and financial operations in Dubai’s private sector.

Her personal fitness journey began quietly in 2021. Looking for a sustainable way to support her physical and mental well-being, she started running and training independently. What began as a personal outlet transformed dramatically in 2023 following the birth of her child. Becoming a mother reshaped her perspective: fitness was no longer just a personal goal, but a vital foundation for her family’s future.

Believing that lasting habits begin at home, Veronica encouraged her husband to join her on the pavement. As the couple logged miles together across Dubai, something organic happened—friends, colleagues, and onlookers were drawn to their consistency and positive energy. What started as a shared routine between husband and wife naturally attracted a growing circle of people looking for the same encouragement.

By 2025, that informal collective needed a home, and FitKada DXB was officially born.

“I am not a professional athlete. I’m a full-time finance professional, a wife, and a mother who simply chose to start,” says Sorio. “FitKada DXB was built on the belief that fitness should fit into real life. If ordinary people can make time for their health despite busy schedules and responsibilities, then more people can be inspired to do the same.”
