It looks like Barbie Imperial is in a much better place now after it was reported that she was allegedly physically abused by an ex-boyfriend.
During her guesting in Boy Abunda’s late night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda”, Imperial said that she has moved on from her relationship with her former boyfriend.
“Masaya ako. Sana ikaw din. Napatawad na kita,” Imperial said.
The young actress no longer mentioned anyone specific but it can be recalled that she got the attention of her followers when she posted photos on her social media account implying that she has experienced abuse from her previous relationship.
“Girls, just because mahal mo ang isang tao pero sinasaktan kayo physically, hindi pwedeng patuloy yan. HINDI TAMA MANAKIT NG BABAE PHYSICALLY,” Imperial said in her now-deleted tweet.
Imperial also uploaded the photos on her Instagram account with the caption, “No to physical abuse. NEVER AGAIN”. She has since deleted the photos from her Instagram page.
Some of her fans speculated that her rumored ex-boyfriend, Paul Salas, might be the one who hurt her physically. Salas has not yet spoken about the issue but some of his friends and family members asked Imperial to spare the actor from the accusations.
Meanwhile, JM De Guzman, Imperial’s leading man in the afternoon series “Araw Gabi”, gave a piece of advice to the actress when it comes to loving someone. “Lagi mong uunahin ang sarili mo. Lagi mong mamahalin muna ang sarili mo. Uuwi kang mag-isa, may babalikan kang buong ikaw bago ka magmahal ng iba. Para kahit anong mangyari, kahit gaano kasaklap na inevitable na sirkumstansiya, di ka matitibag,” De Guzman said.
