Megastar Sharon Cuneta took to Instagram to happily announce that she is set to work with Star Cinema for another movie.
A grateful Cuneta wrote on her Instagram, “In Star Cinema now, being presented my brand new movie! Yippee! So very happy! Thank You, Jesus!”
In the said photo, Cuneta is seen seated in a meeting with Star Cinema executives led by managing director Olivia Lamasan.
Neither Cuneta nor Star Cinema has released further details about the said movie.
The actress previously revealed that her reunion movie with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion, which was supposed to be produced by Star Cinema, will no longer push through.
In a now-deleted Instagram comment, Cuneta wrote, “Guys, I am sorry. Star [Cinema] has done as much as they can. I have done as much as I could. This is hurtful to me as well. If you are upset, how do you think I feel? Star [Cinema] or I did not want to break your hearts. My heart is broken. And I am so very tired. It may be hard to accept, but there may never be another Sharon-Gabby movie again. Sorry.”
A few weeks after posting such comment, Cuneta revealed through Instagram that “on-and-off negotiations” and “power-tripping” from Concepcion’s camp pushed her to officially drop out from the said project.
She vented her frustration on Instagram saying that Concepcion’s camp would play with her “schedule” and “professionalism”.
Cuneta’s last movie with Star Cinema was the 2017 romantic comedy “Unexpectedly Yours”, where she appeared alongside Robin Padilla, Julia Barretto, and Joshua Garcia.
