WATCH: Rachelle Ann Go performs with West End cast of ‘Hamilton’ at Olivier Awards

Filipino singer and theater actress Rachelle Ann Go joined the all-star ensemble of “Hamilton” in a performance during the prestigious Olivier Awards, which happened last April 8 at the Royal Albert Hall.

The modern musical won seven awards at the said ceremony, including best new musical.

Go currently plays the part of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton in the West End production of “Hamilton”, a musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

The Filipina singer has received critical acclaim from major publications such as Newsweek, The Guardian and The New York Times for her portrayal of Eliza.

Aside from Hamilton, Go has also starred in other musical productions both in the Philippines and in other countries, such as The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, Les Misérables, and Miss Saigon.

The Olivier Awards is considered the highest honor given in British theater. Renowned Filipino theater actress Lea Salonga is one of the people bestowed with this award.
