He was only able to save his $5,000 (Php249,350 approx.) guitar.

The fire spread quickly, and Aguilar along with his family desperately jumped into their neighbor’s roof to escape.

The fire was officially extinguished around 11:38 p.m.

Authorities are looking into two possible causes of the fire. First is overloading in the electrical wiring, and second is the water leak that might have reached the electrical wires in the house.

Despite the tragedy, the 64-year-old music icon is still grateful that nobody in his family died or got wounded.
