Just months after signing a modelling contract with U.S. based The Brogan Agency, the former action star-turned-fashion model BB Gandanghari also now works as an Uber driver in the US, revealed her brother Robin Padilla.
Padilla shared in an interview with ABS-CBN morning show Magandang Buhay that BB does this job as a sideline job while pursuing her dream of becoming a Hollywood-model.
“Nandoon siya sa Amerika, nakikipagsapalaran. Uber driver siya doon,” Padlla said.
Padilla shared that he’s happy for BB, although he said he can’t help but worry over his sister’s new profession as a driver. “Medyo kinakabahan lang ako dahil siyempre Amerika yun. Hindi ko naman kabisado ang mga tao doon. Kung saan-saan siya minsan pumupunta. Nagku-cross country siya para sa mga hindi niya kilala.”
All is well between the siblings. BB congratulated Padilla in a surprise video message for the latter’s comeback at the big screen.
BB also noted that Robin and the megastar Sharon Cuneta are the true icons of the ‘90s.
“Congratulations to you and Sharon. Tama ang lahat ng naririnig ko because wala kayong kupas. Itayo natin ang bandila ng mga ’90s. You are the icon of the ’90s. I’m really very happy for you.”
