A jury in South Florida, USA. has found a Filipino doctor guilty of sexual battery.
Jerry Ciocon, 62, faces up to 15 years in prison for trying to do a sexual act to a 19-year-old patient without her consent, reports ABS-CBN News..
The victim told the jury that Ciocon went to her house to examine her after she complained that she had a vaginal cyst.
Ciocon, a family friend, examined her in her bedroom and after undressing began to molest her.
The defense team said that the doctor misread the patient’s body language and Ciocon stopped the inappropriate behavior when she told him to.
The incident happened in August 2014.
Ciocon is scheduled for sentencing on August 25.
