A WhatsApp message saved two girls abducted in Ras Al Khaimah escape the hands of a human trafficking group.
The two girls fell victim to an organized gang of human traffickers who abducted them.
Emarat Al Youm reported that the gang’s modus is to post an online ad to recruit massage therapists.

After luring their victims, the gang will transport, trap and force them into prostitution.
The victims were abducted and were about to be transported to a house by a female member of the gang when they managed to message the Ras Al Khaimah Police.
The two were eventually saved while the suspects were arrested and referred to Public Prosecution.

Three of the gang’s members were sentenced to five years in prison followed by deportation after serving prison terms by the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court.
The court also ordered three defendants to pay legal fees to the victims.
Meanwhile, an eGovernment Authority report revealed that one of the defendants was acquitted from the case.
Reports state that the defendant’s phone showed that there was no relationship between the defendant and the other three accused hence the decision.
