The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has outlined two specific categories for individuals who are eligible to receive the first batch of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
It specifies that Emiratis, people of determination, and Dubai residents who have a chronic disease aged 18-60 will be first in line to get the jab. To book appointments, individuals who fit this category are advised to call DHA’s toll-free number 800-342 where they will be directed to visit one central vaccination centre.

Meanwhile, the second category will be for frontliners and vital sector workers. Appointments for this jab that will take place in the DHA Vaccination Field Centre will be scheduled in coordination with DHA and the organizations.
A shipment of the said vaccine reached Dubai on February 2 as part of DHA’s commitment to provide the public with a choice of different vaccines.
