Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai advise e-scooter users to always dismount from their scooters whenever they use pedestrian crossings.
“Adhere to traffic law and dismount from the scooter when using pedestrian crossings,” read the message from the video tweeted by the RTA.

Authorities also reminded individuals to park their e-scooters in dedicated spaces and to avoid leaving them in areas that might disrupt foot traffic or cause untoward incidents.
Here are the reminders as per the video from the Dubai Police and RTA:
– Park the e-scooter in its dedicated spot
– Don’t leave or park the e-scooter on the tracks in a way that disrupts movement
– Notify the concerned authorities in case of an accident
– Only ride on the designated scooter lane in the five approved pilot operators
– Adhere to traffic law and dismount from the scooter when using pedestrian crossings
