Saudi allows opening of drinks, snacks shop ‘til 3 AM

Saudi Arabia has allowed certain food stalls and retail shops to be open until 3AM during the holy month of Ramadan, Saudi Gazette reported.
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs stated that it will allow stores within its three sectors—agriculture and food, operation and maintenance of residences and buildings, and transport and logistics services—to be able to efficiently serve residents as the Kingdom partially lifts restrictions in the Kingdom except in Makkah, allowing them to go out from 9 AM to 5 PM daily.

Among the stores allowed to be open until 3 Am include cafeterias, dumplings and foul shops, ice cream stores, hot drinks stores, fresh juices and cold drinks shops, sweet shops, manual bakeries, retail shops for domestic animals.
According to Saudi Gazette, these stores are included in the 20 additional activities allowed to operate during Ramadan through online and supply deliveries.
The report also lists the following businesses that were also allowed to open during this time: road, street and pavements repairs, and road requirements; road cleaning projects, care and maintenance of parks and amusement parks; care and maintenance of recreation parks on expressways; sterilization and fumigation of insects; installation and maintenance of elevators, escalators, and conveyor belts, automatic doors; building maintenance services and renovation of residential buildings; and services for collecting and disposal of garbage.
