Philippine Airlines (PAL) assured the public that passengers, whose flights have been disrupted by government-led preventive measures against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across the world, can still convert their tickets to a travel voucher which is valid for one year.
PAL’s UAE Country Manager Agnes Pagaduan explained that the airline will cater to travelers whose tickets are dated for travel from March 15 to April 30, 2020, and convert their tickets to a myPAL Travel Voucher that will have an extended validity of 1 year, for travel 12 months forward.
With this, she guaranteed Filipinos and travelers booked with their airlines need not worry as their requests will be accommodated even after their flight date.
“We encourage passengers to do the conversion of their tickets to travel vouchers after the home quarantine period. Kung ang ating kababayan ay hindi pa sure sa travel date, meron pa silang 1 year to schedule after they convert their tickets to travel vouchers,” said Pagaduan.
Worldwide travel voucher coverage
Pagaduan also stated that the new guideline covers not only flights from Dubai to Manila and vice versa, it also covers all PAL flights in general in the flag-carrier airline’s aim to help Filipinos who are currently worried about their travel situation.
“Regardless kung ano ang ticket na hawak mo o kung saan ka man nandoon, even yung mga pasahero sa US, sa Hong Kong, sa Singapore, pwede yan. It’s a general guideline namin para sa mga Philippine Airlines ticket holders,” said Pagaduan.
In addition, the myPAL travel voucher also allows passengers to use the value stored in their voucher for towards other PAL flight destinations.
“Once na issue ang travel voucher, valid ito for one year. Pwedeng gamitin at ibili kahit saang ruta ng PAL, na good for one year. So kung Manila-Dubai ang kanilang flight, pwedeng gamitin sa Manila-Hong Kong, Manila-Singapore flights, and so on,” said Pagaduan.
