Cavite has confirmed that they have a first positive case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in their locality.
It was Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla who announced it through his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.
Remulla said that the positive COVID-19 patient was a seaman who passed through Narita Airport in Japan.

He is currently confined at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
They also have another second case of a person under investigation (PUI) who is a woman confined in a private hospital in Imus.
The woman, according to Remulla, just arrived from South Korea. Her swab was submitted to the RITM as of 6 p.m. on Monday night.

“I urge the people leading their respective cities to be transparent with the truth. Cloaking information is a greater disservice to the people. The people have the right to be informed,” he wrote in his caption.
Remulla added that they will release information as soon as they verify it.
