Kapamilya TV host Toni Gonzaga revealed that she had no prior knowledge on her sister Alex’s engagement.
She added that it was her husband Paul Soriano who told her that it was strange when Alex’s boyfriend Mikee Morada went on a Hong Kong trip with their parents.
“Si Paul ang nagsabi sa akin na sabi niya, ‘Parang medyo weird iyon na nag-Hong Kong si Mikee with your parents’,” she added.
Toni also revealed on what tips she gave to her younger sister as she enters the life of being a married woman.
“Masyado siyang loka-loka, e! Ang payo ko sa kanya is everything changes when you’re a wife, especially when you become a mother,” she said.
Toni added that she reminds Alex that in marriage, there’s no more ‘me’ in life, but rather an ‘us’.
“It’s not about you anymore, it’s about the two of you. There’s no more ‘I,’ I keep telling her. ‘There’s no more ‘I’ in marriage. There’s no more ‘me.’ It’s all about ‘we,’ ‘us.’ You become one with your partner. Sabi ko sa kanya, medyo slowly, i-invite mo na iyong, kapag kinasal ka na, it’s a union na. You are one,” Toni explained.
