Negros Occidental governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said they are ready to help a former employee whose daughter died in United States in a suspected case of domestic violence.
Cely Recelistino is seeking justice after receiving news that her daughter Russcel died in Colorado last November 27.
The governor said that they are ready to give Recelistino’s family a lawyer to get justice for their daughter and bring her remains home.
The mother said her documents are ready as they ask for help from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Fort Lupton Police Department said that they have received a call about an unconscious woman pertaining to Russcel who was brought to Colorado Medical but later on declared dead.
The police put Russcel’s husband Joseph Garza under custody because he was the only one who was with the woman at the time of the incident.
Russcel’s death remains under investigation but her family is convinced that she died due to domestic violence.
