A Philippine Airlines aircraft, flying to Manila from Tagbilaran, diverted to Cebu following technical issues,
Airbus A321 landed in Mactan, Cebu instead of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 11AM.
PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna clarified that “no emergency landing was declared”. An investigation is also underway to determine the reason why the flight was diverted to Cebu.
Some 150 passengers were safe and booked on the next flight to Manila.
Some of its passengers however shared their concerns online.
“Quite scary indeed a few minutes after the airplane took off, there was a technical difficulty,” Engr. Aleksandre Pates said in his post.
