In his continuing bid to make Dubai one of the most active cities of the world, Dubai Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum joined thousands of people who run, jogged, and walked for the Dubai Run 30X30 challenge, today.
Residents and visitors eagerly participated in the fitness event this morning. People linefdup for the 5KM and 10KM run which all kicked off at World Trade Centre Arena.
Some runners were seen enjoying the event, taking pictures and warming up before Dubai’s big event.
The race started at around 6:30 in the morning, with both the 5KM and 10KM starting on the same route, the south-bound lane of Sheikh Zayed Road..
Most children and fun run event enthusiasts join the 5KM race while the 10KM participants were mostly for active runners.
Samir Jouaher won first in the men’s race, Anouar El Ghouz and Mohammed Mira in second and third respectively.
Refref Mohammed finished first, followed by, Fanos Tekle and Joyce Balle Baako for the women’s category.
The fitness event was launched in 2017 to promote healthy lifestyle to Dubai residents and visitors.
