Newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados removed her makeup in reaction to her detractors.
In ABS-CBN talk show Tonight With Boy Abunda, Ganados also talked about her “weakness” in public speaking.
“I appreciate the criticism because I know there’s so much to learn and improve in myself. The first step is accepting it and then innovating it. Ang ayaw ko lang is when those bashers go below the belt,” the beauty queen said.
When asked about what her message to her bashers, she said: “Someday I hope that we can all unite and be diverse at the same time because we’re all unique in our own ways. Sana magtulungan tayo—this is for the Philippines.”
Host Boy Abunda commended her for showing her bare face on national TV.
“You did not have to do you it. But thank you for doing it. You are so brave,” Abunda said.
Ganados is the successor of Catriona Gray as Bb. Pilipinas Miss Universe crown and she will be representing the country to the next Miss Universe pageant.
