Security personnel assigned to the Tulfo brothers have been recalled upon orders of Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, it was learned.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said it withdrew the security detail of the broadcast personalities Erwin, Raffy and Ben Tulfo, including Raffy’s wife ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Jocelyn Tulfo.
“Based on standard protocols, the two PNP security personnel assigned to Erwin Tulfo will undergo the regular inspection, interview and debriefing this week following an assigned schedule among all PSPG personnel on security detail,” P/Col. Bernard Banac said.
Banac said the review of security personnel applies to all. The outcome will depend of the revalidation process and level of threat to protectees.
The military has also pulled out escorts assigned to Special Envoy to China Ramon Tulfo.
Armed Forces of the Philippines Spokesperson BGen. Edgard Arevalo said the recall of security details has nothing to do with his brother Erwin’s criticisms against the social welfare secretary.
Erwin drew flak after his outburts against the DSWD Chief who was also a high-ranking military official.
