The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said that the shipment of ballots that will be used by overseas Filipino workers in the May 2019 elections is already 99.48 percent complete.
In an announcement on her Twitter account, Comelec Director Elaiza Sabile-David made said that a total of 1.7 million ballots for overseas absentee voters have been printed and shipped to respective Philippine embassies and consulates worldwide.
In line with this, the Comelec has asked political parties, independent candidates, OFW organizations, and accredited citizens to submit the names and specimen signature of their authorities representatives who will act as counsel or watchers in the coming elections.
The poll body said that the requirements must be submitted on or before April 3, pursuant to Section 26, Comelec Resolution No. l0489-A.
