Actress Isabel Granada is still in a “critical but stable condition” after suffering from a brain haemorrhage, husband Arnel Cowley said.
Speaking to Bandila hosts Karen Davila and Julius Babao Wednesday night, October 25, Cowley said her wife is still unconscious, receiving treatment at Hamad General Hospital in Doha, Qatar.
“She’s still not responsive, [she’s] unconscious. But we’re hoping she will regain consciousness soon.”
He said the actress complained of a headache Tuesday morning but decided to push through with the fan meet-and-greet later that day.
“It was quite sudden, she just collapsed,” he said. “Beforehand, there were no signs. She was laughing and joking with me.”
He added that as far as he knows, his wife, who is a fitness enthusiast, is not suffering from any serious medical conditions.
Cowley said the doctors are still monitoring Granada’s condition before deciding on a treatment plan for the actress.
“I’ve spoken to some of the doctors, surgery is not an option because they want to make sure she’s stable.”
Prayers from her colleagues in the industry are also pouring in for the actress.
In a Twitter post, actress Dawn Zulueta and Angelu De Leon also sent out their prayers for Granada.
