Dubai Frame is set to be UAE’s hottest attraction this year

Residents and visitors will just have to wait a few more months to walk through the Dubai skies.

Dubai Frame, the 150-meter high gold tower with a glass bridge, will be open before the end of the year, Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday.

“Everything is going according to the schedule. The building is going to be one of the landmarks in Dubai and it will attract a lot of tourists. We will open it by the end of the year,” Gulf News quoted Dawood Al Hajri, assistant director-general for Engineering and Planning Sector.

The Dh160 million project in Zabeel Park is said to frame the emirate, providing a 360-degree view of Dubai – the hotels and skyscrapers on one side and the older residential neighborhoods on the other. A glass-enclosed, glass-floored observation deck is located at the top section of the tower, giving visitors the impression of walking through the sky.

The tower was designed by award-winning architect Fernando Donis, who also designed Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers, and the Dubai Renaissance Tower.
