570 road mishaps recorded in RAK during Eid break

The traffic and patrols directorate of the Ras Al Khaimah police came up with new plans to avoid road mishaps, especially during the holiday, after 570 accidents were reported from June 22 to June 27.

Four casualties and three major injuries were reported during this period, the Khaleej Times reported.

RAK police central operations control room director general Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi asked the public for full cooperation by complying with traffic rules and regulations.

He added that reckless driving and speeding had caused most of the road accidents reported in RAK.

According to the director general, more patrols have been deployed on all roads, intersections, markets, parks, and public areas to ensure safety and security in these places and provide help whenever needed.
