LOOK: Dubai warmly welcomes tourists back to their second home

Dubai has officially re-opened its airports today, July 7, in a move to welcome tourists back after a three-month hiatus.
Passengers arriving at Dubai Airports are being welcome like special guests. Stickers with a message that read, “A warm welcome to your second home,” are being placed on their passports.
Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, GDRFA, in Dubai, said that the resumption of flights is an important step in supporting the aviation sector.
Al Marri said that the highest standards of precautionary measures and security currently in place at all Dubai airports reinforce the position of the UAE, especially Dubai, as one of the world’s leading aviation centers.
He explained that the re-opening of airport operations also signals a new phase of economic activities.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Talal Ahmed Al Shanqeeti, Deputy Director-General of Airports Affairs, noted that the resumption of flights represents a positive boost to foreign investment and the tourism sector.
Visitors are advised to undergo a PCR test ahead of the date of departure to prove that they are COVID-19 negative. Their COVID-19 negative certificates give them the pass to explore the emirate without having to undergo a quarantine or isolation period.
