Duterte extends GCQ in Metro Manila until July 15

President Rodrigo Duterte on June 30 has extended the general community quarantine (GCQ) status in Metro Manila until July 15 amid the rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the region

In a televised address, the president announced the extension of GCQ along with other areas in Luzon and Visayas.
Among other places in the country under GCQ until July 15 include:
Luzon
Benguet
Cavite
Rizal
Visayas
Leyte
Ormoc
Southern Leyte
Mandaue City, Cebu
Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu
Talisay City, Cebu
Minglanilla, Cebu
Consolacion, Cebu
Cebu City remains under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to its rising number of COVID-19 cases.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, has been placed under modified GCQ (MGCQ). Under this phase, public transportation are allowed to operate at full capacity, while dine-in restaurants, cinemas, and gyms can operate at half capacity. Public gatherings are also permitted under this phase, but with limitations.
