Saudi imposes partial curfew for 21 days to prevent COVID-19 spread

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has ordered a partial curfew order from 7:00pm until 6:00am for a period of 21 days. The order will take effect on Monday evening as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
In a report on Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Interior called on civil and military authorities to co-operate with the curfew.

The government also added that some workers will be excluded from the curfew, and these are workers who are in the vital public and private sectors. They will continue their performance to make sure that services will not be hampered during the curfew.
Workers in the security, military and media sectors, and those in relevant health and service sectors will also be exempted from the curfew.

The government urges residents to stay in their homes so that the preventive measure will help in curbing the virus spread.
