Philippine authorities clarified an early advisory that all Filipinos will be barred from leaving the country due to the enhanced community quarantine amid the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
In an updated statement, Filipinos and all other nationalities can still leave the country within 72 hours from the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine, provided that their flights haven’t been cancelled by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) according to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease.

The enhanced community quarantine began March 17, 12:00 am Philippine time – which means that Filipinos only have until March 19, 11:59 pm to leave the country.
By March 20, all Filipinos, including OFWs will be barred to leave the country until April 13.

This is to inform everyone that during the IATF meeting held today, 17 March 2020, it was decided that all passengers, regardless of nationality, may depart from the country within the 72-hour period, unless their flights have been cancelled by the airlines or the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
