Sweden has confirmed its first case of a patient who contracted the novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019 – nCoV ARD).
The patient is being treated at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, 153 km. east of Gothenburg.
Swedish news site The Local reported that the patient is a woman who landed in the country last Friday after visiting Wuhan.
She was put in isolation and immediate treatment.
This came after two reported cases were recorded in Russia. Both of them are Chinese nationals.
Anna Popova, head of Russia’s consumer safety watchdog, says these two persons are in a stable condition.
