New strain of Coronavirus from China spreads to Japan

The Japanese health ministry confirmed the country’s first case of new coronavirus from China, Thursday January 16.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said a Chinese man in his 30s has tested positive for the pneumonia-like virus which began to spread three weeks ago.
The man, who resides in Kanagawa prefecture, contracted the fever on January 3 when he visited Wuhan, where the first case of the new strain of the SARS-like disease was discovered.
He was rushed to a hospital on January 10 for pneumonia and was discharged later on January 15 after his conditions improved.
Bloomberg reported that the man was infected from a different source since he didn’t visit the seafood market in Wuhan, where the exposure was reported.
The outbreak, which infected 41 people in China, has been linked to exposure in the seafood market in Wuhan which also served as a market for live animals include poultry, bats, and marmots, and other wildlife meat.
