The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has cautioned on Wednesday morning Taal residents about the odds of pyroclastic flow and volcanic tsunami due to the continued volcanic activity of Taal Volcano.
Reniva explained that it could instantly wipe out all the properties near the shoreline of Taal.
He also said that the pyroclastic materials from Taal Volcano contain hot gases and ashes.
Reniva stressed that volcanic tsunami is only possible if the alert level on Taal reaches 5.
Authorities urged the residents within the 14-kilometer radius from the main crater of Taal Volcano to evacuate the area.
