11 year old escapes crocodile attack in Palawan

An 11 year-old kid sustained wounds after a crocodile attacked him in Balabac, Palawan. The kid, identified as Akirin Baracbac Kutak, was in a boat together with an older sibling when the crocodile attacked them.

The boy was immediately brought to the rural hospital to get treatment. He was able to go home the next day. Residents have been warned not to stay late outside because crocodiles are nocturnal animals.

This is the fourth crocodile attack in the area within the year. Last month, a high school student was killed by a crocodile after diving in the river. Rescuers only found the upper part of his body.  (Trish Tan)
