Special envoy to China and broadcaster Ramon Tulfo said that the controversial Php60M from PTV ad deals was stolen by his brother Ben.
On June 24, Mon tweeted his thoughts on Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario’s Php500,000 donation to 22 Filipino fishermen.
“Former Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario donating 500k to fishermen in the Recto Bank incident cheapens his act. He should be the last to do that coming as it does in the wake of his being barred from entering Hong Kong. He should have done that before he was refused entry,” Mon tweeted.
A netizen commented on the tweet, asking Mon to return the Php60 million to the government.
“Hoy, gaga! Di ako ang nagnakaw ng 60m. Kapatid kong si Ben yung tinutukoy mo,” Mon reacted.
In an interview with CNN Philippines, Mon told his brother to return the government money but Ben insisted that everything went through the legal process.
