Public warned vs tickets for sale for Pope Francis’ mass in UAE

The Catholic faithful are advised to take caution to avoid falling prey to scammers selling tickets to Pope Francis’ upcoming papal mass in Abu Dhabi next month.

According to the organizers of the Pope’s visit to the UAE, those who seek for tickets for the papal mass must not transact with unauthorized channels including those who are trying to sell the tickets.

The organizers noted that “the only official channels for ticket distribution are through the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (AVOSA) and Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia (AVONA) parishes.”
How to get ticket to Pope Francis’ mass at Zayed Sports City Stadium

Around 120,000 people are expected to participate in the mass on Feb. 5, but a larger number of people are wanting to attend what they consider as a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the Pope.

The mass will be held at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium.

The tickets will be free-of-charge and will be printed and handed over by the AVOSA Papal Visit Office to the parishes. The AVOSA Papal Visit Office will dispatch tickets on a quota system to all parishes of AVOSA and AVONA.

The Parishes will then distribute tickets to various quotas within the parish.
