Two cars catch fire in Sharjah

Two cars parked in an area in Sharjah caught fire on Sunday, December 2, the Sharjah Civil Defence reported.

Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said that a fire sparked in one of the cars parked in Abu Shagara in Sharjah which quickly spread to another car parked nearby, reported Gulf News.

The fire was reported around 10 a.m. and authorities were immediately deployed to the scene to put out the fire. No one sustained injuries due to the incident.

Investigation is still ongoing to identify the possible cause of fire. Initial probe shows that the two cars have been parked in the area for a long time.

In November, a Lamborghini car also caught fire at Al Beeh Valley in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).

The authorities successfully put out the fire and cooled down the vehicle to prevent it from starting another fire.

Motorists are advised to always check their vehicles and ensure that they are properly maintained to avoid similar incidents.
