The Fujairah Municipality issued a statement after rumors circulated that a wild wolf has been spotted along a road in Al Bithnah village.
An image of a wolf walking along a street made the rounds on social media causing residents to panic that a wild animal is possibly lurking in the area.
A report claimed that many residents in the Bithnah area saw the wolf.
The same report said that the Fujairah Municipality has sent out teams the teams to locate the wolf.
However, the municipality released a statement and posted a photo on its Facebook account denying the rumors.
“We deny the rumor being circulated about the search for the ‘Bithnah wolf’,” the statement read.
The Fujairah Municipality also urged residents to directly contact the concerned authorities regarding the matter to ensure they have the most reliable information.
