Duterte orders PNP to arrest Customs official involved in drugs

President Rodrigo Duterte, on Wednesday, October 24, ordered Philippine National Police to arrest former Customs intelligence officer Jimmy Guban over alleged unlawful acts.

“Tell me who is this guy asking for money, extortion. I will call him here, I’ll have him arrested, kaya iyang si Guban pinapa-aresto ko,” said Duterte, amid a House of Representatives inquiry on the illegal drugs that supposedly slipped past Customs department.

Duterte then asked to bring Guban to National Bureau of Investigation.

“Sabi ni Albayalde, ‘on what ground?’ Just bring him to the NBI,” Duterte said in a speech in Malacañang.

The president also expressed his frustration over Guban’s alleged unscrupulous acts.

“Sabihin mo dalhin sa Cavite. Ihulog sa… Siya ang nagpasok, siya ang nag-fake ng ID… If you do that everyday, ginagawa mo akong g**o eh.”

Earlier, Duterte released a “secret special report” that involved Guban and other high-ranking police officials in the illegal drug trade.
