Remains of Filipina murdered in Sweden to be repatriated to PH

The Philippine Embassy in Oslo, Norway will be assisting in the repatriation of the remains of Mailyn Conde Sinambong, a Filipina who was killed by her husband in Sweden.

According to previous reports, Sinambong was murdered by Swedish husband, actor Steve Aron Bakre Aalam, on September 23, leaving behind their two children in Kista, Sweden.

Sinambong’s husband has confessed to the crime and is currently under the custody of Swedish authorities.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Consul General Ma. Elena Algabre will also be coordinating with Sinambong’s aunt who is based in Norway to make the necessary arrangements in order to bring the Filipina’s remains to the Philippines, reported Inquirer.net.

The consul general will also be helping the Filipina’s aunt during the investigation process of Sinambong’s case.

The Swedish government has also already appointed a lawyer to handle the Filipina’s murder case against her husband.

Foreign affairs secretary Alan Peter Cayetano has earlier ensured that justice would be served and instructed all concerned government agencies to extend assistance to Sinamnbong’s family.
