The time frame allotted for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to register as overseas voters for the upcoming midterm elections in 2019 has ended.
From December 1, 2016 until September 30, 2018, OFWs were allowed to register themselves as overseas voters to be eligible to vote for next year’s election.
During this period, thousands of OFWs, including those in UAE, visited the embassies and consulates to register.
Those whose application was approved will be able to vote for the senatorial seats and one partylist representative.
In the UAE, the elections will happen from April 13, 2019, and will run until May 13, 2019.
