The UAE’s evening skies brightened up a bit as a meteor shower occurrence took place last Sunday, August 12.
Abu Dhabi’s Al Sadeem Astronomy Observatory shared a few images that they took during the evening with The Filipino Times. Their co-founder Alejandro Palado mentioned that even the UAE’s weather conditions didn’t hinder them from seeing the meteor shower. “The weather was not that promising but despite of that, there were some small to medium size meteors which has been observed.”
Around 25 people observed the event together at the observatory.
Palado and his team at Al Sadeem were also part of the recent worldwide discovery of a ‘black hole candidate’ in July.
