A lucky Filipino expat based in the UAE is one of the newest winners of the Big Ticket draw held in Abu Dhabi International Airport last Friday, August 3.
Jayson Baloloy, who owned the ticket number 001270, will be taking home a new car after he winning the Land Rover Series 12 draw.
Meanwhile, Indian national Vazhappallil Yohannan Simon won the grand prize and took home a staggering Dh10 million.
Simon said that he thought he was just getting pranked when he received a call informing him about his raffle win.
The Indian, who is a widower with three children, said the prize he won will help him expand his business in the UAE.
Aside from Baloloy and Simon, another expat from Syria, Taisir Nasr Sabih, won a consolation prize while eight more Indian nationals won other cash prizes ranging from Dh10,000 to Dh100,000.
