8,000 jobs await Filipinos as global tech firm opens 2 new plant in PH

Around 8,000 job openings will be up for grabs for Filipinos as an international technology firm is planning on expanding in the country.

Cal-Comp Technology (Philippines), Inc., an electronics manufacturing firm under New Kinpo Group (NKG), will be opening two new facilities in the Philippines to expand its production capacity, reported Inquirer.net.

The expansion will be made through a P6.77 billion initial public offering later this year.

The company’s research and development hub in the Philippines is currently operated by 142 Filipino engineers and their main sites at the FPIP and the Lima Technology Center in Batangas presently employs 9,500 Filipino employees.

“Our company has been in the Philippines for almost 20 years and we plan to expand our foothold further. We will continue training the local labor force because we believe in their hard work and talent,” Inquirer.net quoted the company as saying.
