De Lima lambasts Duterte for threats to bring up her alleged sex scandal

Detained senator Leila de Lima accused President Rodrigo Duterte of bringing up her alleged sex video to distract the public of the current issues faced by the administration.

De Lima said the administration brought up the alleged sex scandal to avoid conversations about the president’s recent controversies.

In Duterte’s speech in Iloilo on June 20, the president threatened De Lima that he would release the alleged sex scandal involving the detained senator amid the detained senator’s criticisms of Duterte’s behavior during his visit to South Korea where he publicly kissed an overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

“There’s a lady. Nakakulong. Sabi niya bastos daw yung ginawa ko,” Duterte said.

You forget conveniently that you started the most, pinakabastos na magawa ng isang senador.”

De Lima is one of the president’s biggest critics. She is currently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame for her alleged role in drug trades during the Aquino administration.
