Three Asian men will be spending time behind bars after they were caught stealing money and other items from a restaurant in Sharjah.
The Sharjah Criminal Court has sentenced the three accused to six months in jail and has also ordered for their deportation after serving their time in prison, reported Khaleej Times.
Court records show that the three men went to a restaurant in Muileh area and took the money inside the donation box which belongs to a charity organization.
They also stole Dh5,000 worth of money from the restaurant’s safe, as well as a mobile phone.
The suspects pleaded guilty to the charges filed against them in court.
During interrogation, they also confessed that they have committed robbery before.
The defendants added that they have previously sneaked inside a grocery store in Sharjah Industrial Area and took away Dh500 cash, a milk box, shampoos, juices and mobile phones.
