Metro Manila to receive fresh supply of rice, to be sold at P39/kilo

Around 10,000 bags of new rice supply for consumers in Metro Manila will be sold at Php39/kilo amid alleged rice scarcity.

Seventeen trucks from Nueva Ecija carrying 400 to 800 bags of rice each arrived at the National Food Authority (NFA) in Quezon City on Monday, April 16.

Areas where rice supply is low will be prioritized in time of rice distribution and delivery.

The government assured the public that supply of affordable rice, local or imported, is enough to cater to consumers.
