Razon’s to open in Karama on this date!

Overseas Filipino Workers in Dubai will soon get a taste of their favorite Razon’s halo-halo.

The iconic Filipino restaurant is set to open the doors of its first branch in Dubai and also its first business foray outside the Philippines.

The new restaurant will be located in Karama and is set to start operations on Tuesday.

In an interview, Jose Razon, executive VP of Razon Food Corp., said that they were initially looking at putting up a new branch in the United States, but changed their mind after seeing the ease in doing business in Dubai.

“With the partners we have right now, we feel that we can relate to them because their attitude is very much down-to-earth,” Razon added.

News about the Filipino restaurant coming to the Middle East broke out September last year.

“It will be our first international store in Dubai, and we are excited to cater to over a million OFWs in the region. There is a demand for real Filipino food in Dubai,” Razon said in an earlier interview with Manila Standard.

Razon’s is known for its creamy halo-halo and sumptuous spins on local Filipino dishes.

The restaurant started as a small family business in Pampanga. The Razon’s put up their first restaurant in Manila back in 2003. Today, Razon’s of Guagua has 74 outlets in the Philippines.
