300 ft Virgin Mary statue stands tall in Batangas

Tourist has another reason to visit Sitio Montemaria in Batangas City, where a magnificent statue of Mother of All Asia – Tower of Peace has been built.

The said statue, which is made of concrete and steel, stands at 316 ft. or 96 meters tall.

It was in 2014 when development and construction for the said statue started and even though it is not yet finished, devotees already go to Sitio Montemaria to catch a glimpse of it.

Mother of All Asia is expected to finish construction by 2021, which is also the 500-year anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.

The said statue about the same height as the Peter the Great statue in Russia which is the eight tallest statue in the world.

To further prove its grandeur, Mother of All Asia is even taller than other famous statues in the world like the Statue of Liberty in New York (93 meters) and the Great Buddha in Thailand (92 meters).

Currently, the world’s tallest statue in the image of Mary is the Virgin of Peace monument in Venezuela.
